In my dream you know no pain only happiness, only the joy of love, the touches of a little girls hands upon your smooth skin. She rides you bareback across a sea of bright green grass.

You have given us more than we could ever give you, you gave us unconditional love. You taught us about true strength and spirit. We tried the best we could to make you happy and whole again. We told you each day how much we deeply, deeply love you and we will every day for the rest of our lives.

We felt the touch of your breath on our face and laugh at the way you nuzzel us. You breath smells of peppermint. 

You always greet us with a nicker whether you have just seen us or not. You nickered at me today each time I walked away and came back. You nickered as tears fell onto your face and I pressed my lips to your nose, eyes, and forehead. You knew something was happening. You nickered at the vet as we knelt to say goodbye. 

You thought she had a treat and in a way she did. She brought you freedom, freedom to soar through the clouds and dance across the rainbows. Freedom to run as fast as you can to God's loving hands. My hands are now empty. 

My heart aches like none I have ever felt. A rose will be planted by the fence where you lay so I can smell it's sweet perfume and touch it's velvet petals and think of you. 

Someone once told me that God doesn't alwats bring us horses to heal, sometimes he brings us horses to learn from. You were special, you were my angel from God. Anyone who met you felt it too.

Tonight I will dream that we are together again and I will kiss you once more and stroke your golden coat. I will never forget you Miss PJ. FOr the past 1 1/2 years my life revolved around you. I tried my best for you and I wish it would have ended the way I so desperately hoped. You are part of my soul and always will be.
