So innocent and kind
                                her eyes stole my heart
                           But the news of her health
                                tore me apart

                           The light in her face
                                the shine in her eye
                           It doesn't seem fair 
                                that soon she will die

                          The pain will be great
                               as the end draws near
                           I don't want my Angel
                               to experience the fear

                          The morning is dreary
                               there's a chill in the air
                           I look for my Angel
                               she's down in dispair

                           I hug her and hold her
                               as we wait for the vet
                           I tell her I love her
                               her needs will be met

                          With her head in my lap
                               surrounded by love
                          Angel floated to heaven
                               to the clouds up above

                         God took back His Angel
                               He missed her, you see
                         But I can't blame Him
                               for taking her from me

                         He wanted His Angel
                              loved at the end
                        There's more Angels out there
                              that He has promised to send.
